Context: another recovered Picasso painting
This is not the first such discovery in France recently: earlier, as reported by Life.ru, police found a stolen Picasso painting depicting Marie-Thérèse Walter valued at up to 15 million euros. The canvas was discovered during an operation against drug traffickers in the home of a relative of one of the suspects; along with it, about 20 kilograms of cannabis, luxury items and cash were seized. The investigation established that the painting had previously been stolen by an employee of a Paris storage facility. Notably, it was in Mougins that Picasso spent the last years of his life until his death.
