Strikes on the CHP-2 power plant, locomotives and a warehouse

Russian Geran drones struck a production facility at the CHP-2 combined heat and power plant, two railway locomotives and a warehouse building in Kharkiv which, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, was used for assembling and preparing strike drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The attacks were carried out by crews of the separate Varyag unmanned systems brigade, which published footage of the targets being hit, reports Life.ru.

Declared targets and context

The military ministry stated that the attacks are aimed at disrupting military logistics and hitting facilities in Ukraine's rear areas; according to the ministry's assessment, the destruction of railway equipment and infrastructure used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces limits the capabilities of Ukrainian formations. The Ukrainian side did not confirm these figures in the cited publications.

A series of strikes on transport and energy infrastructure

The publication continues a series of reports about railway equipment being hit: earlier, Life.ru wrote about Geran strikes on four locomotives in the areas of Sumy, Dnipro and Komsomolske in Kharkiv region — according to the Ministry of Defense on November 3, two locomotives were hit near Sumy and one more in each of the two other areas. Also on November 3, the Russian Armed Forces struck Ukrainian energy facilities, including the Kharkiv thermal power plant and two high-voltage substations — Zmiivska and Losevo, rated at 330 kV — as well as energy infrastructure in Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
