Daytime drones shot down
Russia's Ministry of Defense reported that on-duty air defense systems destroyed 35 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian regions during the day. According to the ministry's press service, in a statement distributed via the messenger Max, the drones were neutralized between 8:00 and 20:00 Moscow time over the territories of the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Ryazan and Oryol regions, Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Crimea. This was reported by Life.ru and Gazeta.Ru.
Context of the daily reports
The daytime report supplements the Ministry of Defense's previously published summary for the past 24 hours: according to the ministry, a total of 1,029 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed, which failed to reach their targets. The figures refer to different periods and are not independent confirmations of each other: 1,029 is the daily total, while 35 is the number of fixed-wing drones shot down during the daytime interval.
Consequences in Ryazan
In the morning, as Gazeta.Ru reported , citing Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov, a massive drone attack sparked fires at industrial facilities in Ryazan and caused power supply disruptions. One person was injured, and power lines were damaged. Windows were blown out at School No. 58, and classes were cancelled. Private houses were damaged in the Ryazan district, and a non-residential building caught fire in the Rybnoye district. The day before, according to the same reports, air defense forces and mobile fire groups repelled a drone attack on the Tyumen region, and earlier Russian drones struck warehouses, which had been equipped for assembling UAVs for the Ukrainian armed forces.
