The start of the meeting was reported by the Zvezda TV channel, and the broadcast is also being carried by the press service of the US administration. Russia is represented by Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova and Special Representative of the Russian President Kirill Dmitriev; according to media reports, the Ukrainian delegation includes the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, and the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.
What the parties agreed on
In her remarks, Melania Trump stated that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to cooperate with her as the sole mediator in establishing a ceasefire regime in Alyoshky and the adjacent area of the Kherson region. She named as the goal the delivery of vital humanitarian aid to the city's residents and the organization of safe corridors for the evacuation of civilians; she described Alyoshky as a spark in a world of darkness, noting the need to move toward a lasting peace. According to Life.ru, the parties have already agreed on a temporary ceasefire in the city for the delivery of food and medicine and the evacuation of residents.
Plans to expand humanitarian missions and the next round of talks
Earlier, Yana Lantratova reported plans to expand humanitarian missions with Melania Trump's mediation: with Dmytro Lubinets, an agreement has been reached on regular deliveries of aid to Alyoshky at least once a month, and the parties also intend to assess the needs of residents of neighboring settlements near the line of contact for possible similar operations. The meeting is taking place against the backdrop of preparations for a new round of trilateral talks between Russia, the US and Ukraine, scheduled for November 10–11 in Abu Dhabi; the current event is devoted primarily to humanitarian cooperation.
