Concert postponement in Limassol

Andrei Makarevich (designated a foreign agent in Russia) recorded a video address in which he told fans about the cancellation of a Time Machine concert in Cyprus. The performance was scheduled to take place in Limassol on November 6, but it was decided to postpone it. According to the musician, the organizers 'kept selling tickets and only came to their senses yesterday,' and are only now warning audiences about the postponement. 'It looks strange and, in my view, dishonorable,' Gazeta.Ru quotes his address.

Reasons and context

Makarevich cited problems with processing the necessary documents as one of the reasons for concert postponements, while also expressing bewilderment as to why such troubles arise specifically with Cyprus. The outlet notes that this is already the second cancellation of the band's performance this year. Earlier, according to the same publication, Makarevich performed before a half-empty hall in Latvia. For reference: in November 2022 the musician was designated a foreign agent, left Russia and moved with his wife Einat Klein to Israel; in September 2023 he closed his sole proprietor status, which he had used for concerts in Russia for 23 years, and in April 2023 he withdrew from the list of founders of the Andrei Makarevich Jam Club. No new dates for the postponed concert were announced in the address.
