Kushner's statement

US presidential special envoy Jared Kushner said that Washington, at Donald Trump's direction, is working with all parties on a 'durable peace deal' for Ukraine, and that the focus of efforts is aimed not only at ending the war but also at a 'broader security architecture' that must guarantee that hostilities will not resume after they stop. Kushner wrote this on the social network X; his words are cited by Life.ru and Gazeta.Ru.

Talks in Abu Dhabi

A trilateral meeting of representatives of Russia, the US and Ukraine will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 10–11. The American delegation, alongside Kushner, will be represented by presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff, who earlier confirmed the holding of Russia–Ukraine talks mediated by Washington. According to Life.ru, participants will discuss ending the conflict, security guarantees after the cessation of hostilities, and measures to reduce tensions; the meeting will be held by the parties' representatives, not heads of state.

Composition of the Russian delegation

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the participation of the Russian delegation in the meeting in Abu Dhabi and promised to reveal its composition. According to Gazeta.Ru, presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky will remain Russia's chief negotiator. Thus, to the already announced meeting has been added a confirmed US statement about work on security guarantees — meaning that the talks will cover not only a ceasefire but also the conditions under which it should become durable.
