What happened at the university

A 26-year-old man caused a scandal at one of Moscow's universities on Stromynka Street: he entered a classroom, started smoking, loudly used obscene language and provoked conflicts with teachers. This was reported by the press service of the capital's main directorate of the Rosgvardiya (Life.ru, Gazeta.Ru). According to Gazeta.Ru, security first escorted the offender out, but he soon returned to the building.

Threats and detention

When security intervened, the visitor began threatening staff with physical violence; one of the teachers also heard similar threats. 'God forbid I run into you on the street! <...> A direct [threat]!' the man said, addressing a security guard (according to Life.ru). Fearing for the safety of personnel, the university administration pressed the panic button, and a unit of the Rosgvardiya non-departmental security arrived at the scene. The detainee turned out to be a 26-year-old native of the Saratov region — he was taken to a territorial police station for questioning.

The detainee's explanation

In a video published by Rosgvardiya, the detainee explained his appearance at the university by nostalgia, but did not specify the reasons for his aggressive behavior. 'Nostalgia kicked in, to be honest. My grandmother just lives near Kurskaya, she just called me. I need to be taken to the park. I'll disappear now, you won't see me at all,' Gazeta.Ru quotes him as saying. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
