Bayern have announced a contract extension with England national team captain Harry Kane until June 30, 2029, Anadolu reports. The 33-year-old forward joined the Munich club from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023 and has since scored 156 goals in 161 official matches.

The player's words and results

At a press conference alongside the club's CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and sporting director Max Eberl, Kane said the decision to extend was an easy one: 'I didn't have to think about it for long. I am in the best place for me.' According to him, if he did not believe in the team and in the chance to win the biggest trophies, he would have considered other options. In a statement on the club's website, he added that he feels at home in Munich and is happy with coach Vincent Kompany. Since his arrival, Kane has helped Bayern win two Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal and two German Super Cups. He was the Bundesliga's top scorer in each of his three seasons and twice won the European Golden Shoe. In the 2025/26 season he scored 61 goals in 51 matches, the club completed a league and cup double, and the forward won the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
