Extension until the summer of 2030

Barcelona captain Raphinha has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2030. The agreement was formalized on Thursday at a ceremony attended by club president Joan Laporta, the Anadolu agency reported.

The captain's words and a new role

“I feel enormous pride,” said the 29-year-old Brazilian, whose full name is Rafael Dias Belloli, at the ceremony. He added that he hopes to stay at the club “for many more years” and keep playing “as long as my legs allow.” Regarding his physical condition, Raphinha said he feels good but is not yet “at 100%,” and urged the culé fans not to worry, since he is carefully looking after himself.

Statistics and achievements

This season, Raphinha has taken on a more central attacking role and, in his words, is adapting to playing as a central striker: “I try to adjust to what is required of me. I like it, and it is easier with the quality this team has.” The forward joined Barcelona from English side Leeds United in 2022 and is in his fifth season at the club. During this time he has played 190 matches, scored 94 goals, and won three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups. The current 2026-27 season has been productive for him: 19 goals in all competitions, including 15 in La Liga — the best tally in the league — and four in the UEFA Champions League.
