A new name in the €40 million robbery case

Europol has placed Serbian national Ninoslava Jovic on its wanted list, who is suspected of involvement in the robbery of the TEFAF art fair that took place in 2022. According to Bild , citing Europol materials, the woman has been added to the 'Most Wanted' list; investigators believe she assisted the robbers.

How the robbery unfolded

The attack took place at the TEFAF fair in 2022. Four criminals played on the aesthetic of the TV series 'Peaky Blinders': they wore tailored suits and flat caps. In two minutes they smashed the display cases and made off with jewelry worth around 40 million euros. No one was hurt, and the gang fled the crime scene on electric scooters.

The trail and the fate of the stolen goods

According to Europol, after the robbery the criminals fled through Germany to Serbia, coming into view of traffic cameras. Police do not rule out a connection between the gang and the international network of jewelry thieves known as the 'Pink Panthers', which operates in Serbia and Montenegro.

What has been found — and what hasn't

In the years since, only three diamonds from the stolen haul have been recovered — they were found in Israel, Hong Kong and Botswana. The most valuable piece — the yellow diamond — has still not been found. Placing Jovic on the wanted list shows that the investigation continues four years after the crime, yet the fate of the bulk of the loot remains unknown.
