Bolshoi Theatre principal dancer shows his grown-up son

Ballet dancer Igor Tsvirko has posted a photo with his son Lev, who has turned 17. The dancer shared the birthday post on Instagram (whose owner Meta has been designated as extremist and banned in Russia), Gazeta.Ru reports.

The dancer's family story

Tsvirko is raising his firstborn with ballet dancer Yevgenia Savarskaya, whom he separated from in 2019. In 2021, the principal dancer married Kristina Kretova, a leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre. According to the dancers, they were friends for nine years without crossing any boundaries in their relationship; everything changed after a vacation together in Sochi in 2020, when they kissed for the first time. Kretova said that her husband's son did not accept her right away and it took time to build a connection, but now there are no problems: Lev sees her as a friend. The ballerina also has a teenage son — he turned 17 in April; she has not revealed his father's name in interviews.
