Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, familiarized herself with the work of the narcological facility in Kashkadarya Region, reported the outlet Kun.uz citing her post on social media. The visitor herself explained her choice of location by saying that they decided to start the changes 'from the most difficult point' in order to see the state of affairs in the field in full.

According to Mirziyoyeva, the goal is to create a system covering prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, in which specialists from different fields work as one team. She emphasized that, together with local and international experts, a special program aimed at fundamentally renewing the field will be developed, and that the focus should be on the person, their dignity, and helping them return to a healthy life.
