President Vladimir Putin made this statement in an address to participants of the International Week 'Peoples of Russia', timed to coincide with National Unity Day, reports Life.ru. 'Its main goal is to further strengthen what unites us, gives us resolve, and instils pride in the country and its thousand-year history,' the publication quotes the head of state as saying.
The week's programme and continuing work after the Year
According to Putin, the events of the international week play an important role: their participants discuss not only preserving national traditions, but also fostering in young people a sense of responsibility for the country's future and a readiness to serve the Fatherland.
