Snow mowing caught on video

In Sharypovo, Krasnoyarsk Krai, municipal workers mowed snow with a lawnmower. Footage of the unusual work was published by the Telegram channel Podem; according to the channel, the worker who was running late in the season was filmed by city residents. The authorities have not yet explained what the plan for clearing the snow-covered yard with a lawnmower involved.

This is not the first such case

As Gazeta.Ru notes, something like this has happened in Sharypovo before: in previous years, local residents encountered similar situations. Back then, such work was explained by the need to cut the grass down to the roots before the final arrival of winter — that is, formally it was about mowing grass, not clearing snow. How the workers' actions are being explained this time was not reported at the time of publication.

Context: autumn municipal mishaps

In September, the spotlight fell on the municipal services of Vladimir: painting lampposts turned out to have unexpected consequences for motorists. Gray paint, which workers applied from a lift to the upper parts of street lighting poles, splattered onto cars driving by and parked nearby. One of the affected owners said he drove past the work site but only discovered at home that his car's body was covered in gray dots.
