34 trips in two years

87-year-old Chelyabinsk resident Bayrambika Khamitova has already made 34 trips to the special military operation zone delivering humanitarian aid to Russian servicemen. The Narodny Front movement told the SHOT outlet about this: on a single trip, the pensioner manages to visit up to 18 units, covering about 200 kilometers. The soldiers call her 'God's dandelion,' and in February 2027 she will turn 88 — she has no intention of giving up her trips.

The beginning: the loss of her son

Khamitova began helping the soldiers after the death of her eldest son Fakil Khamitov, who went to the special operation as a volunteer in 2023, telling his mother about his decision only the day before his departure. Upon learning of his death, she prepared homemade food and traveled to her son's unit to honor his memory. She then stayed on to help the wounded in a hospital, and later began regularly delivering food and essential supplies to servicemen.

Back to work even after being injured

The pensioner continues traveling to frontline areas despite the danger. During one of her trips, she came under a drone attack: while trying to take cover in a forest, the woman fell and broke her arm. After recovering, she returned to her volunteer work once again.
