The disappearance and the investigation plan
In Dagestan, the murder of 34-year-old taxi driver Dinara was solved within three days; according to the investigation, she was lured into a trap and killed under a premeditated plan. The details were reported by the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Dagestan, Gayana Garieva; her words are cited by Life.ru.
How the suspects were identified
Dinara disappeared on the morning of October 30: at around eight o'clock she took her son to kindergarten, told her family she was leaving to take an order, and stopped answering calls. Her mother contacted the police. Officers reconstructed the taxi driver's route from surveillance camera footage and noticed a car that had followed her vehicle several times at a distance of 10–15 meters. The owner of that vehicle, police found out, had handed it over to an acquaintance supposedly for repairs — and that acquaintance turned out to be the missing woman's ex-husband.
Hospitalization and detention
The man initially came to the police station on his own, but the next day he reported severe abdominal pain and called an ambulance: he was hospitalized with suspected acute appendicitis and underwent surgery. According to Garieva, this may have been an attempt to avoid further questions from investigators. Another man was spotted on the video recordings — after checking the ex-husband's circle, police identified the suspected accomplice; after overnight operations, both were detained.
The investigation's version and next steps
According to the investigation, the murder was planned down to the smallest detail: the woman was lured to a meeting by someone posing as a client, attacked, her body was taken to a vacant lot and buried, and the car was given new registration plates and driven to another location to hinder the search. The collected materials have been handed over to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Dagestan. In addition, officers are preparing to bring from Moscow a woman who allegedly took part in organizing the crime — her role remains to be established by the investigation.
