An appeal to the media and bloggers
Sergey Pudovkin, the director of singer Larisa Dolina, in an address to RIA Novosti, stated that internet memes and insults have resulted in health problems for the artist. He criticized part of the media community and internet users for spreading false rumors and asked journalists and bloggers to show basic human respect and cover events objectively. «Part of the media community and internet users chose the path of creating offensive memes, spreading false rumors, and outright hate and harassment, which led to damage to a person's health,» the quote is cited in a Life.ru publication. Pudovkin also called on the public not to contribute to offenses against the celebrity.
What has already been done and what continues
The appeal became a continuation of previously announced measures: as Life.ru reported on the decision of Dolina's team to check memes and publications featuring her for insults,round-the-clock monitoring will be carried out by Pudovkin himself and four lawyers. The specialists will examine photographs, collages, deepfakes, and other materials capable of damaging the singer's reputation, and if violations are identified, the team intends to go to court with lawsuits to protect honor and dignity. Despite the situation, Dolina, according to her director, continues to work at full capacity and has not stopped her professional activities. The assessments of the singer's health condition in the appeal belong to her director; there is no independent medical confirmation in the publications.
