Ceasefire regime has ended
The ceasefire regime in the Alyosky area ended on November 1. According to Russia's Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova, during its operation — from October 27 — both sides fulfilled all their obligations, which made it possible to deliver humanitarian aid to residents and arrange a safe departure for those who decided to leave the city.
How the humanitarian operation went
The humanitarian mission was organized jointly with the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets; coordination was provided by US First Lady Melania Trump. The White House previously reported an agreement between Russia and Ukraine to temporarily halt hostilities in the Alyosky area for a humanitarian operation: it was initially planned to begin on October 29, but was then moved to October 27 and the zone of operation was expanded. Russian sappers prepared safe routes for delivering cargo and for residents to leave. On October 30, a convoy with tens of tons of food, medicine and other goods was sent to the city; for the evacuation, as Life.ru reported from the scene, 25 buses and nine ambulances were prepared.
What is being discussed after the end
The sides are now discussing the continuation of humanitarian missions. Lantratova emphasized the importance of maintaining interaction and establishing regular delivery of necessary supplies. Residents remain in Alyosky who still need support. We will work to ensure they receive the necessary help,
