His remarks were reported by the state agency KCNA, cited by Anadolu. The speech took place on Thursday at the 'Unmanned Aeronautical Technology Development-2026' exhibition.
Priority: drones and artificial intelligence

He called on the country's scientists to achieve breakthroughs in unmanned aviation technology and artificial intelligence for defense, while also mentioning the DPRK's nuclear arsenal and successes in conventional weapons. According to the agency, the North Korean leader stated that since unmanned military systems are becoming a key asset of modern warfare, the development of key technologies, the integration of advanced AI into unmanned weapons, and the enhancement of their combat capabilities should be regarded as a 'top-priority task' in modernizing the army.
