In Khorezm region, a legal inspector of JSC 'Khorezm Water Supply', whose initials are given as Z.A., has been detained. The operation was carried out jointly by the regional department of the General Prosecutor's Office and officers of another law enforcement agency, Kun.uz reports.

The essence of the accusation

According to the investigation, the inspector gained the trust of a citizen, O.A., and promised, through alleged acquaintances in high positions, to connect his commercial facility to the drinking water supply network and to arrange the technical specifications. For this, he received 6 million soums through fraud and was caught with material evidence at the moment the money was handed over. In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway.
