The key facts
- Financial violations worth 2 trillion soums were identified, of which more than 250 billion soums was recovered into the budget.
- Violations worth 10.2 trillion soums were recorded in public procurement; materials were referred to law enforcement agencies.
- In September 2026, the leadership of the Accounts Chamber changed: Alisher Samadov was appointed the new chairman.
The scale of identified violations
In the first nine months of 2026, the Accounts Chamber of Uzbekistan conducted 84 audit activities, including 46 remote inspections. As a result of this work, the agency recorded financial violations totaling 2 trillion soums, of which 250.2 billion soums has already been recovered into the budget. Auditors paid particular attention to public procurement, where violations of legislation amounted to 10.2 trillion soums. Materials worth 4.8 trillion soums were referred to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment, and officials responsible for 222.3 billion soums were held administratively liable.
The role of digitalization and new leadership
The effectiveness of inspections increased thanks to the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in the 'Remote Audit' information system, which made it possible to identify violations worth 115 billion soums. Over the same period, the agency's Remote Control Center eliminated violations worth 17.1 trillion soums and prevented unlawful spending of 90 billion soums. These changes took place against the backdrop of personnel reshuffles in the leadership: in early September, the chairman of the Accounts Chamber became Alisher Samadov, who previously headed the Department of Legal Expertise of the Presidential Administration. At the same time, Jamshid Mirzaev and Ulugbek Aripov took the posts of deputy chairmen, while their predecessors Sardor Mirzaev and Atabek Allaberganov left their positions.
