Blocking of a viral AI track
Roskomnadzor has blocked the neural-network track “You Are My Scum!” by DJ NARODNII & DJ LINUSIK. The blocking was reported by the Telegram channel Baza; it is also covered by Gazeta.Ru and Life.ru. Music platforms now display a notice stating that the track is unavailable at the agency’s request, and when listeners try to play the song, they see a blocking notification.
What is known about the song
In the song, a man insults his beloved, and the girl in response confirms his words. The composition was generated by a neural network and spread rapidly across social media in the fall of 2026, becoming the soundtrack to thousands of short videos on TikTok; users dubbed it the unofficial anthem of the air fryer. The reaction was mixed: some listeners saw irony in the lyrics, while others saw the romanticization of violence and the humiliation of women. TikTok blogger and psychologist olgakaktus stated: “Dear women, misogyny is a tragedy! None of us deserves to be treated cruelly, so that songs demeaning women would be playing in the media space.”
Context: lawmakers’ reaction and the author’s position
On October 26, Dmitry Shatunov (LDPR), a member of the State Duma committee on digital development and artificial intelligence, approached the leadership of Yandex Music and VK with a proposal to introduce labeling for works created with the help of AI and to place such compositions in separate charts and recommendation selections. The creator of the track himself, according to Life.ru, explained that he had wanted to mock the low-quality music that neural networks mass-produce. The outlet also recalls the song “Shamil Smolyan*” by Eldar Dalgatov, which was previously added to the list of extremist materials by decision of the St. Petersburg City Court. Separately, Gazeta.Ru mentions that lawmakers had earlier demanded that Roskomnadzor block a song by rapper Kishlak about the “path of shit.”
