What has changed on Amir Temur Street

In Tashkent's Yunusabad district, the main turnaround point for vehicles on Amir Temur Street has been temporarily closed as of October 26, 2026 — the reason is construction and installation work on the BRT lane. The city transport administration announced this; the temporary change to traffic patterns was reported by the Uzbek-language outlet Daryo.uz, while the Russian-language version of the same outlet, Daryo.uz , published a similar notice the following day. The restriction remains in effect until the repair work is completed, but no exact completion date has been given.

How the buses now run

The changes affected 13 routes, which are divided into two groups. Buses No. 5, 82, 83, 123 and 124 continue straight along Amir Temur Street from Ahmad Donish Street without making the turnaround at the former spot. Routes No. 3, 6, 7, 25, 96, 119, 149 and 175 turn from Ahmad Donish Street onto Amir Temur Street, drive further on, turn around at the Shahristan metro station, and then head back.

What passengers and drivers should expect

The transport authority warned that due to the road closure, temporary traffic jams and changes to bus intervals are possible. Passengers are asked to plan their trips in advance. This is a continuation of previously announced work: it was reported that BRT lanes are being built on Yangi Sergeli Street and Amir Temur Avenue, and on two streets car traffic was partially restricted. For Yunusabad residents, the practical consequence is changed turnaround points and, likely, longer travel times on the listed routes until construction is finished.
