Pomalyuk explained his failure at Spartak by the choice of coach

Russia youth international forward Alexander Pomalyuk, now playing for Tekstilshchik Ivanovo in the First League, in an interview with Gazeta.Ru, summed up his time at Moscow Spartak. “I hold no grudge — I saw how the club works from the inside. I try not to dwell on that period, but I look only for the positives; those six months at Spartak taught me a lot. In short, I ended up with the wrong coach,” the newspaper quotes the footballer as saying.

Statistics before and after leaving the club

Pomalyuk moved to Spartak from Chertanovo, his boyhood club, in 2024. In the red-and-whites’ system he played for the second team in Second League B and in the Youth Football League: 14 matches in total without a single goal. His numbers after returning to Chertanovo are markedly different: 10 goals and 3 assists in 26 Second League B games, then 7 goals and 3 assists in 14 matches for Astrakhan’s Volgar in Second League A last season. This season with Tekstilshchik in the First League he has recorded 2 goals and 2 assists in 12 games, plus a goal in two Russian Cup matches.
