New discoveries near the missing man's vehicle

In the Altai Republic, details have been found near the site where Emergencies Ministry employee Igor Bolshakov disappeared that may shed light on his fate. According to TASS, citing emergency services,a rifle case was found in the missing man's car, but the weapon itself was not inside. In addition, a killed and butchered roe deer was discovered about three kilometers from the vehicle. Emergency services do not rule out that the man may have hunted the animal before his disappearance, but there is no confirmation of this theory yet.

Circumstances of the disappearance

Bolshakov went missing on October 17 after setting off in his personal car to an apiary in the Chemal District. He did not return home, and the next day his relatives found his car in the Ak-Kaya tract — the man himself was nowhere nearby.

Progress of the search operation

The search operation continues: 81 people, 17 pieces of equipment and a canine team are involved. Rescuers have surveyed about 60 square kilometers of territory. The work is complicated by mountainous terrain and snow cover up to 30 centimeters deep.

What was known from earlier reports

Earlier, Life.ru reported that searchers had discovered a mysterious track on the bank of the Akkaya River. Yulia Maltseva, head of the Sled-Altai search team, suggested that the mark could have been left either by Bolshakov himself or by a wild animal. The search is also complicated by the firefighter's white camouflage clothing, which blends almost completely into the snow. At the same time, no signs of a bear attack on the man were found.
