According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region, citing a publication by Life.ru, the tragedy occurred in the morning in the settlement of Fyodorovskoye. According to preliminary data, a quarrel broke out between two acquaintances over jealousy. Similar cases in the region
Life.ru notes that jealousy has previously been the cause of fatal conflicts in St Petersburg. Thus, in October, in the settlement of Metallostroy, a man, according to the investigation, beat his wife during a quarrel, after which she died. The defendant in the case pleaded guilty, and the court ordered him held in custody until December 21, while the accused stated his desire to join the SVO after the verdict is handed down.
Significance of the event
The incident in Fyodorovskoye shows how quickly a domestic conflict can escalate into a fatal crime: according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, only a few hours passed between the quarrel and the suspect's detention. For residents of the region, it is a reminder of the risks of domestic conflicts, and the practical consequence of the case will be the court's decision on a measure of restraint for the detainee, which has yet to be made. Details of what happened, including the exact circumstances of the quarrel, have not yet been disclosed.
