Response to the complaint about personal reception

Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov, according to the outlet Zamon.uz, met with residents of the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region on October 23, 2026. One of the citizens present said that he had tried several times to get a personal appointment with the president but had been unable to do so.

“There are 7.5 million of you, and I am alone”

In response, Japarov explained that there are about 7.5 million citizens in the country and it is impossible to receive everyone personally. “Don't say that you can't get a meeting. There are 7.5 million of you, and I am alone. If everyone came to my reception, I would not be able to receive them all. I have my own work schedule. Of 24 hours, I sleep only four, and I spend the remaining 20 hours at work,” the outlet quoted him as saying. The president added that even with such a schedule, there is not enough time to solve all problems.

Order to investigate the complaint

In addition, Japarov ordered the responsible officials to look into the appeal of a citizen who complained about unlawful actions by certain law enforcement officers. He emphasized the need to establish whether money was unlawfully demanded from citizens, and who received the funds and in what amounts.
