Regulator's examination

The regulator did not disclose the details of the information received or the nature of the examination, explaining that it would maintain confidentiality to ensure a thorough, fair and impartial assessment. Claim in the DIFC Courts
A claim has been filed in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts against AIX Secure SPV Ltd, a company affiliated with AIX Financial Group and registered in the Cayman Islands. Claimant Carl Marcus Detloff brought the claim in August in connection with nine promissory note subscription agreements concluded from June 2023 to August 2025. He asserts that AIX Secure SPV failed to pay interest on time, which, in his view, entitles him to terminate the agreements. Detloff is demanding the return of the invested capital — £925,000, €240,000 and $309,692 — as well as unpaid interest and an additional $900,000 which, he claims, is due to him under the agreements. AIX Secure SPV, represented by the law firm Pinsent Masons, has not yet publicly stated its position.
The company's position
In a statement published on the AIX Investment Group website, AIX Secure SPV said that 'geopolitical uncertainty and significant volatility in global financial markets have affected the valuations and realization cycles of investments in a limited portion of AIX's product offering.' According to the company, the majority of its products and the underlying investments are not affected, and AIX continues to meet its obligations to investors on them. The company stated that it has hired leading international law firms as well as financial and restructuring advisers, including for communication with the relevant authorities. 'Following a comprehensive analysis, measures are being taken to restructure the affected investments under the direct supervision of management and subject to the necessary approvals. The goal is to protect value, maintain stability and determine the most suitable path for affected investors,' the statement said.
Scale of claims according to the FT
According to the Financial Times, investors have filed claims demanding the return of a total of about $10 million, including two individual claims for $2 million and $8 million. The publication also reported that the Dubai-based AIX Investment Group, an international investment advisory company, has reportedly suspended payments to thousands of investors after promising annual returns of up to 30%. AIX Financial Consultation, regulated by the CMA, specializes in wealth management, retirement planning and portfolio diversification.
