Starshield remains limited
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Fox News that the Starlink military communications package called Starshield remains limited for Ukraine. According to him, the US continues to provide Ukraine with intelligence information, but problems with Starlink persist. The statement was reported by Clash Report.
Rubio's promise
Zelensky noted that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio promised to get the satellite communications working. 'For us it was very dangerous not to receive information and early warnings about ballistic attacks from the Russian side. Now this is working. As for Starlink, Starshield is still limited, but the Secretary of State told me that he will work with his team on this to unblock this issue,' Zelensky is quoted as saying by Gazeta.Ru.
Context
On October 20, Zelensky said that Kyiv expects Starlink operations in the country to resume, and the transfer of intelligence data by the Americans has resumed. Rubio then emphasized that US President Donald Trump has 'nothing to do' with entrepreneur Elon Musk's decisions regarding Starlink's operations in Ukraine, and earlier also stated that the White House did not give an order to restrict Ukraine's access to Starlink. Earlier, WSJ named the initiator of the Starshield restrictions in Ukraine.
