Invitations to Unfriendly Media Will Remain
Journalists from countries that Moscow considers unfriendly will receive invitations to the annual major press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told TASS this. 'They will take part. Yes, (we will invite them. — Note by Life.ru) — just as we always do,' the Kremlin spokesman replied to the corresponding question. According to him, the authorities do not intend to abandon the established practice of foreign correspondents' participation: they will be able to attend the event alongside representatives of other countries.
Format and Timing
Earlier, Peskov named December as the time for the traditional Direct Line with Putin and clarified that the program will once again be combined with the major annual press conference. The combined format allows the president to simultaneously respond to citizens' appeals and questions from journalists of Russian and foreign outlets. Preparations for the event began in early October.
