Pensioner fought off a bear with a saucepan

A resident of the Yeniseysky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai managed to fight off an aggressive bear that was trying to get into her house. This was reported on the Telegram channel 'ChP Khakasia'.

How the events unfolded

According to the woman, she woke up to the sound of breaking glass and at first thought a drunk person had wandered into her yard. The bear broke the window frame and poked its head into the room. The elderly woman began throwing dishes at the animal and then grabbed a saucepan. 'I started hitting it right on the snout, I hit it, and it backed off, then I struck with all my might and it jumped and that was it, it ran away,' the villager said.

Killing of the animal

After fighting off the bear, the woman called her daughter, who contacted emergency services. The hunters who arrived tracked the animal by its tracks and killed it near a children's playground.

The man was putting fishing gear into his car when he heard strange barking, turned around and saw the approaching animal. It was also reported that earlier a bear mauled a hunter in the Arkhangelsk region.
