A fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of a multi-story residential building on Uralskaya Street in Moscow. According to the SHOT Telegram channel, before the blaze neighbors heard screams, swearing and a sound resembling an explosion. After that, the stairwell was filled with black smoke, and flames burst out of the apartment.
Rescue of people and casualties
40 people were rescued from the building. Rescuers brought an eight-year-old child and an adult out of the burning apartment. Firefighters found a body in the apartment — thus, one person died in the fire, Life.ru reported.
Condition of the victims
The mother and the child with cerebral palsy were in a state of clinical death after the fire. Later, according to Life.ru citing SHOT, the child's mother died in hospital, while the minor's condition was stabilized.

The fire in the apartment was extinguished. Emergency services continued working at the scene.
