Bailiffs are recovering almost 27 million rubles from Bekmansurov

Timur Bekmansurov, sentenced to life imprisonment for killing six people at Perm State University, owes almost 27 million rubles. According to RIA Novosti, citing materials from the Federal Bailiff Service, bailiffs are recovering from him compensation for moral harm and procedural costs. The total debt, including enforcement fees, exceeds 26.942 million rubles.

Structure of the debt

The bulk of the debt comes from 13 enforcement proceedings opened on August 15, 2023 under rulings of the Perm Regional Court. Eleven of them concern compensation for moral harm, and two more concern court costs in favor of the state; 26.926 million rubles are being recovered under them. In January 2025, bailiffs opened another proceeding for more than 14.1 thousand rubles in procedural costs and a thousand rubles enforcement fee. How much money has already been collected is not specified.

Circumstances of the case

The shooting at Perm State University took place on September 20, 2021: a first-year law student came to the university with a shotgun and opened fire on people. Six people were killed and dozens were wounded. Back in September 2022, relatives of the victims demanded 18 million rubles in compensation from Bekmansurov, and in December of the same year the court sentenced him to life imprisonment.

The appeal did not help

The defense tried to challenge the verdict, but in May 2024 the Supreme Court of Russia definitively upheld it. At the hearing, the convicted man sought a repeat examination, citing his mental state at the time of the crime, but his arguments did not change the verdict.
