The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced on Tuesday that former English Premier League referee Anthony Taylor has been appointed chairman of the Central Refereeing Committee (MHK). Taylor, who holds the post of the federation's elite refereeing director, will work alongside new committee members — Alan Snoddy, Igor Radojcic and Baris Simsek. The 47-year-old Englishman joined the TFF in August, having ended his refereeing career after the 2026 World Cup. Earlier this month, the federation reported that referee appointments in the Super Lig are now made based on Taylor's technical assessments.

Taylor has refereed major international tournaments, including the World Cup, European Championships and UEFA Champions League. He also officiated the 2023 UEFA Europa League final and the Club World Cup final.
