The Ex-Mayor of Rostov's Watch Collection
A collection of expensive wristwatches belonging to former head of the Rostov-on-Don city administration Alexei Logvinenko may pass into state ownership, according to the Telegram channel Don Mash. Fourteen pieces, valued at nearly 11.6 million rubles, were found at Logvinenko's father's house. Among them are watches by DeWitt, Breguet, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier and Maurice Lacroix.
The Prosecutor General's Office's Broader Lawsuit
The watches turned out to be only a small part of the property whose origins drew the Prosecutor General's Office's interest. The list of assets also included real estate, premium-brand cars, weapons, gold coins and large sums of cash. According to Life.ru, the agency demanded the seizure of assets worth 1.6 billion rubles from the ex-mayor.
Earlier Scrutiny of the Official's Income
Logvinenko's financial situation had attracted journalists' attention before: in 2021, Life.ru reported on a Breguet watch on the wrist of the then head of Rostov, with a similar model valued at more than 2.6 million rubles. At the same time, according to published declarations, the official owned no real estate or cars. The city administration explained his wealth at the time by past earnings and stock market investments.
