Flipkart prepares a rival to Zomato and Swiggy: food delivery service being tested on 8,000 employees
Flipkart, owned by Walmart, is testing a food delivery service internally — the number of participants has grown from several hundred to more than 8,000. The service operates via ONDC and its own Ekart courier network; a public launch is expected by the end of October with expansion to 5–6 cities. Flipkart has offered restaurants a commission of about 10% versus the 20–25% charged by market leaders.
