Amazon to finance 12 small nuclear reactors at a coal power plant site in Indiana
Amazon will become the first buyer of energy from a planned 960 MW nuclear plant in Indiana, consisting of 12 X-energy Xe-100 small modular reactors. The operator will be American Electric Power. The site is a former coal plant south of Terre Haute. Timelines depend on X-energy's first project in Texas, over which the state has filed a lawsuit.
