Honda to test road that charges electric vehicles while driving
Honda, together with construction companies Taisei Corporation and Taisei Rotec, has been developing Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer (DWPT) technology since 2021 — wireless power delivery to electric vehicles via devices embedded under the road surface. Tests are planned no earlier than April 2027, and the test road section must be built by the end of 2026.
