Lviv Regional Council's decision to dedicate 2027 to the UPA and Shukhevych sparks scandal in Poland
On October 20, the Lviv Regional Council adopted resolutions declaring 2027 the year of the UPA, Roman Shukhevych, and Oleg Olzhych. In Poland, the initiative was called unacceptable: criticism came from Defense Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, MEP Zalewska-Giernik, and the Institute of National Remembrance. According to Poland's deputy foreign minister, Zelensky's circle promised not to allow the decision to take effect.
