Blogger Lerchek asks court to allow her to travel to China for stomach cancer treatment
Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek) has asked the court to allow her to travel to China for treatment of an oncological illness. According to TASS, citing lawyer Viktor Dugin, the reason was a recurrence of stomach cancer: the blogger has already begun a second line of chemotherapy. The defense claims that Russia lacks the necessary specialists and medications. The Moscow City Court will consider appeals against her sentence on November 17.
