Lula asked Brazil's electoral court to disclose his banking records and challenged Bolsonaro to do the same
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva petitioned the Superior Electoral Court to lift banking and telephone secrecy covering the last eight years, calling it a defense of his honor. He offered rival Flavio Bolsonaro to reciprocate. Bolsonaro has not yet accepted the challenge. The moves come ahead of the second round of the presidential election on October 25.
