A construction company in Tashkent arbitrarily felled 51 trees and will pay about 5.6 billion soums

The eco-police inspected the activities of B.D. LLC, which is building a multi-story residential complex on Zharkurgan Street in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent. Identified: unauthorized felling of 51 trees, dirt along 2–2.5 km of the street, and over 12 thousand tons of waste without documents. The company was charged compensation of over 5.18 billion soums, damage for the trees — 396 million soums, and its head was fined 4.4 million soums.

In Tashkent, four trees were cut down without authorization during the construction of an artificial lake in the Uchtepa district; the damage is estimated at 27 million soums

The Tashkent Main Department of Ecology reported that during the construction of an artificial reservoir in the Kurgantepa mahalla of the Uchtepa district, three Chinese elm trees and one mulberry tree were cut down without permission. The damage under Article 37 of the law is estimated at 27 million 280 thousand soums, and an administrative protocol is being drawn up. The khokimiyat had previously stated that the existing trees were planned to be preserved.
