F-35B Drops Eight StormBreaker Precision Bombs in a Single Pass for the First Time
At the Yuma range in Arizona, US Marine Corps pilots dropped eight small guided SDB II (StormBreaker) bombs sequentially in a single approach to the target for the first time. Integration of the munition into the F-35 had been delayed by software problems. The ability to employ multiple bombs in one pass may reduce the risks of repeat sorties.
