Searches and Detentions of 'Strong Armenia' Supporters Held in Stepanavan Ahead of Local Elections
Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee confirmed searches and detentions in Stepanavan. Opposition MP Andranik Gevorgyan said 14 people were detained and called the authorities' actions 'blatant lawlessness'. On October 25, elections will be held in the city, where 'Strong Armenia' has nominated the only candidate of its own in the country.
