Scientists Measure Radiation Rise on Transatlantic Flight Due to Solar Storm
University of Surrey specialists assessed the impact of the solar storm of November 11, 2025, caused by an X5-class flare, on aviation. The radiation dose aboard a London — New York flight exceeded the normal background by 46%. The results were published in the journal Space Weather.
