From January 1, 2027, the procedure for assigning and indexing pensions changes in Russia
From the new year, old-age insurance pensions will be assigned automatically without applications, and indexation will for the first time take place in two stages — on February 1 and April 1. The rules for counting caregiving for people with disabilities and the elderly toward length of service will also change.
