President Inspects Construction of Bridge Across Karadarya in Samarkand That Will Connect the 'Shirin' Neighborhood with the City and Airport
On October 18, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a trip to Samarkand region, reviewed the construction of a bridge across the Karadarya river worth 310 billion soums. The bridge will connect the under-construction 'Shirin' neighborhood with Samarkand and the international airport. After opening, the distance from the neighborhood to the city center will shrink from 23 to 4 km, and travel time will decrease by 30 minutes. The President called the bridge one of his cherished goals.
