Egypt postpones introduction of new visa rules for Uzbekistanis to March 1, 2027
Egypt has moved the tightening of entry rules for citizens of Uzbekistan from November 1 to March 1, 2027, after negotiations between the Foreign Ministry and the embassy in Cairo. The discussed requirements — a visa in advance, travel with relatives for those under 40, and proof of $3–5 thousand — caused confusion and tour cancellations. Tour operators explain that, according to available clarifications, the entry procedure for buyers of full packages to Sharm el-Sheikh remains unchanged.
