A Ukrainian married his girlfriend's mother to leave the country but was exposed at the border with Moldova

A 37-year-old Ukrainian officially married his girlfriend's 52-year-old mother three months ago in order to leave the country posing as an escort for his disabled wife. At the Mohyliv-Podilskyi checkpoint on the border with Moldova, the spouses got tangled up in their statements, and the man admitted to the sham marriage. He was turned back, and the materials were handed over to the police for examination under the article on illegal transportation of people across the border, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service reported.
