An artificial lake covering 1.7 hectares is being built near Tashkent airport
Construction of an artificial lake with fountains covering 17 thousand sq. m has begun in the Kumaryk mahalla of the Sergeli district of Tashkent. The reservoir will be located directly under the aircraft landing approach path. The work is more than 30% complete, with completion planned by the end of the year. Water will be supplied from underground wells at a depth of 30 m.
